artist statement

I am a  versatile  artist, with over 40 years experience, specialising in undertaking large scale works including murals, private and public commissions. Inspiration for my art work stems from a longing to change people’s perception of the urban environment. I enjoy the challenge   of interpreting spaces, encouraging people to experience the space in a different light by enlivening that space.

The experience I have as a professional draftsman, complements my art practice.  I place  a strong emphasis on the design process, and have the capacity to follow projects  from conception stage, through to completion. I like to use bold colours and pay  attention to detail.

I see my art practice as an evolving process, forever learning, and enjoying the freedom to express myself through the various mediums. [PW1]
